No. The document creation is based on the iText library. As far as I know they don't have any way to set the author field. Maybe I can find out more in their documentation. But even if it would be possible to set some value for it, the appliance has the login name of the user only (not his/her real name). The login name is given in the documents filename already by default.

Not in short term. This is because a digital signature could only applied on a per printer base and not per user. I don't know whether people really want this.
