Hi there,

I was wondering whether it is possible to set a custom filename for each different printer we have setup?

So we have an invoice printer, which prints invoice(1).PDF

And also a Purchase Order Printer, which prints purchaseorder1.pdf?

Also is it possible to create the alias based on a portion of the username getting sent to the appliance?

When a job gets submitted it gets send as user "sean (192.168.2.2)" because of the way we have our software setup, and it is very hard to change the way that it is doing this.

Hi Jeff,

it might be possible to name document files after the printer name (consecutive numbered). I'll think a little more over it. But don't expect a quick solution. I'm out for holidays the next two weeks.

The "alias" question is more difficult. I know there are ip addresses contained in usernames when printing with a lpd printer out of some operating systems. Currently I don't know  if it's possible to cleanly recognize the ip address and remove it under all circumstances. Let me do some tests first before making any promise.
