Suggestions for new features

Hi Wolfgang,

I saw that you asked for some input to new features in this forum sometime last summer. I don't know if you are still interested, but if you are, you should take a look at this competing product which has a couple of features, that we're VERY interested in.

http://www.broadgun.com/pdfmachine/help/pdfmachinehelp.htm

The one thing that I really miss in your product is the possiblility of adding a reciept email address as a parameter to each printjob.

I.e.: every month, we send out 800+ pages of accountstatements from Navision. We've already have a field on each clientaccount containing that client's email-address and another field (boolean) to show whether the client want to receive his accountstament via email.

The accountstatement is just the start. If I can move - let's say 50% - of all our invoiceprints to PDF as well, I could really save some forrest. We currently print around 1.000 invoices a day!

Regards,
Martin

Hi,

I know PDFmachine well and have seen their mail merge and other features. But those features are completely off concept for YAFPC-Appliance. It is a PDF-Server in your network and not an application on your local computer. This means the only way to communicate between the printing user and the appliance is the printer driver. I really don't want to write special printer drivers or setup dialogs for all possible operating systems or applications. The resut would be a merge between the lightweight and easy to deploy solution it is today and a complex PDF creation sweet like others on the market.

Thank you for your suggestions. They are always welcome. But don't expect every feature request to be fulfilled by a poor little hobby programmer like me ;-)
